There are over two tons of good used "classic" (that means vintage or old) transformers from respected olde-tyme USA manufacturers such as Kenyon, Stancor, Staco, Thordarson, Peerless, Merit, Collins, Chicago, UTC, and Military Contractors. They don't make these any more. Types include plate, filament, output, interstage, driver, modulation, and other kinds. All of these transformers were collected and stored away indoors over the decades by a couple of gentlemen, one of whom was an avid ham radio builder and an engineer at Collins Radio, and another who was an electronics repairman and also a builder of many types of vacuum-tube electronic equipment. We are lucky to have found these transformers and chokes and offer them to you now.
The list is updated periodically as we spend pleasant weekends sorting through the iron so please check back from time to time.
We guarantee no DOA and no shorts between windings or to the case but that's all we can test at these low prices. Please note that unless otherwise stated, most of the inductors are for voltages encountered in receivers and audio equipment, that is 250-500VDC. This is in contrast to a few that are obviously for transmitters up to 3KV.
Unless otherwise stated, they may be "used - removed from working equipment" and some may be very old indeed, may have been initially set aside or collected and packed up decades ago for eventual use. They may have evidence of use, shop wear from being in boxes or on shelves for many years, etc., and may need to be cleaned up or in some cases paint may be in order for those who are critical of appearance. In case there is only a part number listed, we have already checked as best we can and have made as many notes as possible either from the catalogs or from some simple tests.
